Rule #1   Don't Eat 2 Hours Before Sleep

Eating late at night (especially sugar-loaded snacks and desserts) increases the sugar level in your blood stream. Insulin then gets released into your body (to normalize this spike in blood sugar). When there are high levels of insulin in your bloodstream, your body drastically lowers the amount of HGH that is released. And what is HGH? Since around 80% of HGH is released when you sleep, eating before bed can add inches to your waistline! Don't eat 2 to 3 hours before sleeping. Also avoid foods like pasta, bread, and sugary desserts at night.

Rule #2   Don't Sit Down Immediately After Meal

Make it a point not to sit down for at least 45 minutes after eating. Take a walk around your house or a stroll in the park. This aids in the flow of stomach acid up into your esophagus for a more effective digestion of food and the fats (with the help of acids, so try drinking lemon juice or lime juice after meals).
