Tips to Taking Care And Protect Your Eyelashes

Taking care of your eyelashes in not difficult!

It has been frequently read throughout that most women want to grow longer eyelashes, and invariably all women want to do the same, but then if wishes were horses beggars would ride! Long eyelashes are one of the best symbols of a woman's beauty and one of the best improvers of a woman's self-confidence! No wonder women of today actually want to grow longer eyelashes and even go in for surgery for longer eyelashes. In fact eyelash augmentation is slowly becoming just as popular breast augmentation or any other cosmetic surgery and women actually pay through their nose to get longer eyelashes through surgery. Thus for those ladies who have got long eyelashes or aspire to get long eyelashes, there are some tips to protect and take care of existing eyelashes as well as surgically implanted eyelashes.

One of the first and foremost ways to protect and take care of your beautiful eyelashes is to maintain good health and hygiene and a proper skin care regimen. Wearing beautiful makeup is actually of no use when you are actually not going to do a proper ad regular clean-up regimen. Leftover makeup can actually end up causing problems because the chemicals in the makeup can actually react with the eyelash and the eye itself. It much also be remembered that the area around the eye is actually weak and sensitive and can easily dehydrate. Many a times it happens that the makeup being used around the eye area including the makeup for the eyelash themselves causes severe dryness around the eyes. This can also result in weak and brittle eyelashes!

Yet another thing to remember when you want to grow longer eyelashes and / or protect your eyelashes is that you must carefully select the brand of makeup you use. Just because a mascara or an eyeliner from brand X looks simply superb on your friend and just because she uses it all the time does not mean that the same brand of makeup will work for you too. Everyone's skin is sensitive to varied brands and makeups and what you use must be carefully tried and tested!

You can also enhance the eyelids and work on making them because enhanced eyelids give out a look of thicker and darker lashes. Long thick and curly eyelashes are a dream of many women but it is something that can be achieved by simply highlighting the eyelid and using slight mascara on the eye. But remember if you are using any sort of makeup on or near your eye, it is utmost essential that the makeup be removed properly and completely. Also if you happen to be using eyelash extensions, they are stuck on with temporary glue, which if not removed properly, can actually make the eyelash weak and brittle and can harm the eye as well.

Last but not the least, natural eyelash enhancers can also be used since they seem to be pretty successful, but like any other product, proper care must be taken along with a complete skin care and face hygiene regime!
